Gregory J. Huber
POWERPLAY President
We never know which Greg Huber will show up for work: the leader, the visionary,
the Renaissance man, the adrenaline junkie, the teacher, the coach or the
husband and father. Doesn’t matter. Any one of them is uniquely qualified to
lead POWERPLAY.
Greg’s passion for creating a very different kind of team building company
started with his degrees in Sports Medicine and Recreation. It grew when he led
canoeing and kayaking expeditions. It really hit the gas when he led
mountaineering expeditions to the highest summits of the western hemisphere. And
it went past the point of no return when he trained with the Walt Disney World
Company and Outward Bound.
It’s pretty much universally agreed that Greg is one of those innovators who
wrote the book on team building programs, so after a while he did write it (two, in
fact): “Making ‘Play’ Money: The Art of Having Fun at Work” and “Quality Counts:
The Challenge Discovery Approach to Success in the Challenge Course Industry.”
He also consults to other teambuilding and Fortune 500 companies.
Greg, his business and his talented POWERPLAY staff live in Richmond, Virginia,
when they’re not trekking across the globe for work or play.
Our POWERPLAY Facilitators
With apologies to college kids everywhere, let’s begin with the fact that
POWERPLAY doesn’t employ a single undergrad. In fact, the average tenure of our
facilitators is 5 years and the average age is 38! We hire mature and seasoned
facilitators, train them rigorously and employ them full-time. With POWERPLAY
there’s no contract labor, no temporary help and no rapid-fire-hires quickly
trained when we come into a new city to deliver a program.
So, let’s review. Great people. Fabulous chemistry. Flawless execution. No
18-year-olds.
